Change Anyone?

Some people say change is good...

But what if you can't decide?  No, this isn't a post about changing your novel or anything (though, come to think of it, that wouldn't be a bad thing to write about...)  Rather, this is a post about changing the look of "The Pen and Parchment".  It's been the same since April.  And that's not necessarily a bad thing, but to be honest, I'm getting a little tired of the same look.

So what is your guys' opinion?  Change it or leave it the same?

And while we're on the subject of change, what do you guys think of my posts?  Would you like them to be more informative, more personal... what?  I never thought I would ask, but now I am and the main reason is because I don't want to feel like I'm rambling.

I'm also thinking about starting a book review blog... but I haven't decided whether to do it or not.

So, what do you think?  Let me know.  And I'll continue to play around with the ideas too.

Thanks!  :D

A change would be fun, although I love the way you've had your blog.

And a book review blog would be awesome!

As for topics... I enjoy your posts on writing. It's always interesting to read other peoples' ideas on the topic.

Thanks Eldra! :) I think a book review blog would free up room on the p&p for more writing posts... lol! Not that I don't get enough of those in. :D

Haha. Exactly.

Hey Star-Dreamer! Hmm...I think a change would be nice ;) I love the unique look you have here, but I always like the lighter-coloured blogs. Perhaps you could experiment with lighter coloured themes and see what you like. I like the mysterious, kind of clean look though...busyness is not exactly what I enjoy but you could always experiment with that too! lol; have fun!

Change could be fun. And if you want to do book reviews, you join me and a few others on the SF Scrivener, at least for spec fic reviews. We haven't been doing many lately, though I'm going to work on writing out some reviews again now that the holidays are past. Then you wouldn't have to have create a whole separate blog for reviews unless you want to or have a separate genre you want to cover. If you want to join us, just send a message to Tim, and he can add you as a contributor.

Change would be neat! I can't help but think that your present template doesn't complement your wonderful writing - maybe lighter, more muted colors and a soft brown text?
But it's all you - no matter what the background, as long as you never change the way you write, I'll read it :)

Thanks everyone. :D

Gwyn and Squeaks: I was definitely thinking of a lighter, more clean-cut look... I haven't decided for sure what I'll choose, but I think I'll mess with it today. Thanks. Your opinions sort of confirm my own thoughts. :D

Jeleh: Cool! I'll definitely send him a message. That's one thing I was worried about starting a book review blog: I was afraid I wouldn't have enough to keep it going. If there is more than one person working on a blog, that's an entirely different story. The pressure isn't nearly as bad. :D

Hmmm....a change would certainly be interesting. :) And I read your writing posts...but I also enjoy rants/posts/etc. about your writing. ;)

Jake: Heh... I've been thinking about doing that more too. :) One of my writing friends decided to post bits and pieces of her writing journal... I'd never even thought of having a writing journal, but I thought it might be neat to try one. I'd be selective of what I posted from it though. lol! Can't have you guys reading all my thoughts. ;)
